Should I Upgrade My Computer?

Answer? Quite possibly! Granted, new computer prices are rock bottom these days and it seems they're practically giving them away out there. But you may feel you simply need a little more speed to accommodate today's newer software. Or maybe your computer performs great but you're running low on hard drive space. If only you had a CD burner - things would be just fine.

These are all good reasons to upgrade instead of buying new. Don't forget, once you buy a new machine you still need to somehow transfer all your data from the old machine to the new. The point is, upgrading can still be an economical alternative to buying a whole new machine. Most upgrades cost less than $200!

Here are some upgrades to consider:

  • Memory and/or processor - for more speed
  • Video card - for sharper images or gaming
  • Modem - if you use dial up and want more speed
  • Network - you can add an older machine to your network. Even wireless!
  • High speed Internet - put your old machine on DSL or cable
  • CD Burner - copy music or start saving all your valuable documents and data
  • USB ports - for your USB external hard drive
  • CPU - upgrade just the 'box' and keep your monitor, keyboard, mouse etc.

Depending on your needs and how you use your computer, you may just find upgrading to be a logical alternative to buying a whole new machine. Please feel free to call us at 248-890-8774 to discuss what's best for you. We're here to help.
